The Journey: Day-by-Day Itinerary
DAY 1: Kathmandu to Pokhara
Your journey begins with a scenic transit from the bustling capital of Kathmandu to the tranquil lakeside city of Pokhara. Settle in, breathe in the lakeside air, and prepare your mind for the days ahead.
DAY 2: Pokhara to Nayapul & Trek to Tikhedhunga
- Stats: 45-min drive | 3–4 hours trek | 7 km
- Elevation: 1,050m to 1,540m
- After a nourishing breakfast, we drive to Nayapul to enter the Annapurna Conservation Area. We begin with a gentle acclimating hike along the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola river, winding down the day with an evening restorative yoga session in the quaint village of Tikhedhunga.
DAY 3: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani
- Stats: 5–6 hours trek | 10 km
- Elevation: 1,540m to 2,750m
- Today, we conquer the famous “Ulleri Stairs.” As we ascend, the scenery opens up into lush, winding paths of magnolia and rhododendron forests. Keep an eye out for Nepal’s grey langur monkeys playing in the canopy. We arrive in Ghorepani for a deeply relaxing evening meditation to soothe tired muscles.
DAY 4: The Sunrise Climax (Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani)
- Stats: 1-hour Poon Hill hike (1.5 km) | 5–6 hours trek to Tadapani (12 km)
- Elevation: 2,750m ➔ 3,210m (Poon Hill) ➔ 2,590m (Tadapani)
- Rise early for a magical sunrise hike to Poon Hill. Watch the first light illuminate three massive Himalayan peaks: Dhaulagiri I, Annapurna I, and Manaslu. After taking in the phenomenal natural theater, we practice a heart-opening pranayama session on the mountain, return for breakfast, and trek onward through deep forest trails to Tadapani.
DAY 5: Tadapani to Ghandruk
- Stats: 4–5 hours trek | 6.5 km
- Elevation: 2,590m to 2,000m
- Enjoy a peaceful downhill trek through gentle, canopy-shaded forests. As we approach Ghandruk, you’ll be treated to stunning, up-close views of Annapurna South. We’ll spend the afternoon exploring the local Gurung Culture Museum and close our day with a traditional yogic philosophy discussion.
DAY 6: Ghandruk to Pokhara & Return to Kathmandu
- Stats: 5–6 hours trek | 10.5 km | 1-hour drive
- Elevation: 2,000m down to 1,050m (Nayapul)
- Our final trekking day is a steady, gentle descent alongside cascading foothills. Enjoy the dramatic mountain backdrops one last time before we catch our private vehicle at Nayapul for the drive back to Pokhara. After a final celebration together, we begin our return journey back to Kathmandu, carrying a renewed spirit and lifelong memories home.
