Lumbini
Lumbini is a sacred place located in the Rupandehi District of Nepal. It is the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism, and has been identified as the birthplace of Lord Gautama Buddha. Lumbini is situated on the banks of the Rohini River, and its pristine nature and tranquil atmosphere has made it a place of pilgrimage and meditation for Buddhists from all over the world. Lumbini has been designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and as such it has been considerably developed as an attractive and meaningful place for spiritual and religious activities. The area encompasses numerous monasteries, temples, stupas, and meditation centres.
Kathmandu
The Kathmandu Valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal. The Valley is home to 3 royal cities – Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur – which were once independent states ruled by malla kings. The Valley is also home to numerous temples, stupas, and shrines, many of which date back hundreds of years.
Pokhara
Pokhara is a truly spectacular place. Located in western Nepal, it is just west of Kathmandu and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful and spectacular Himalayan views. Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park is an incredibly beautiful and biodiverse area of Nepal which is extremely popular with tourists and should definitely be visited by anyone interested in beautiful wildlife and nature. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the park is renowned for its diverse wildlife and scenery and is home to some of the most iconic creatures in the world, such as Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceroses, sloth bears, gharials and many more. Not only is the park home to a huge variety of wildlife, but it also contains stunning natural scenery, with diverse flora, hills and rivers.
The area is also extremely popular for its adventure activities and eco-tourism, which is a great way to experience Chitwan in all its glory.
